A spring 2016 Eurotrip

A spring 2016 Eurotrip

For those of you who are preparing for a spring 2016 Eurotrip, the fairs and markets calendar for the coming weeks will surely prove very useful.

Visiting Europe – for non-Europeans and for Europeans alike – is an awesome experience. And what makes it so special, I guess, is the diversity. The continent has so many regions, countries, peoples with their own traditions and personalities, the architecture is different and the local color of each place is simply irresistible.

They don’t call Europe “the Old Continent” for no reason: it’s a realm of modernity and tradition in equal measures and one which, ever since the Middle Ages, has hosted spring street markets and fairs to celebrate the coming of the warm season. Today, cities in Europe also host food and wine international festivals and it would be a pity to miss them! They might even cross your “Eurotrip” path.

Switzerland is known for its chocolate and for celebrating it! On March 12th and 13th, prepare for Festichoc ‘Le Festival du Chocolat’ bound to be held in Versoix, a town near Geneva. The greatest brands will be there to display their finest products.

How about a trip the to idyllic island of Malta? The Strawberry Festival will take place in the picturesque Imgarr village on April 10th. If you are staying elsewhere on the island, you can employ a Malta transfer to take you there and back.

May is a lovely time to go to Belgium and between May the 5th and the 8th you are invited to the lovely port city of Antwerp for the biggest gastronomical festival, the Taste of Antwerp. The top restaurants will vie for your attention, so you are in for a treat!

All that’s left is to wish you a lovely whirlwind trip around Europe. Enjoy the local atmosphere!
