Top 10 cities to visit in 2013 part 3

Today we’ll be finishing our look into our top 10 cities to visit in 2013, but rest assured we’ll be talking about many more destinations to visit this year, but let’s get going with the list.

Hobart

This rather sleepy harbor town has the reputation of attracting the outdoorsy, adventurer type of traveler, however with the recent arrival of the MONA museum, that is expected to change, and in fact it has started to slightly shift. 2013 is seeing this new museum teaming up with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery to show the Theatre of the World exhibition curated by Jean-Hubert Martin. This makes this year one of the most exciting ones in which to visit Hobart and in which its burgeoning gastronomic scene is expected to explode.

Montreal

Montreal has been one of the most popular places to visit for a few years, earning a couple of unofficial awards from a variety of institutions, such as the world’s happiest city to live in 2010 or the hippest to live in 2011, and it plans for 2013 to top them all. The city will be very prominently in the pop culture eye because it is the staging ground of Stephen Spielberg’s Robopocalypse – which is expected to have quite a viewership.  2013 will also mark the launch of the new Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium and the local social calendar is filled with events; this will definitely be a year of reference for Montreal.

Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa – usually shortened to just Addis – is developing at a very fast pace, in similar fashion to the Ethiopian marathon runners. There is a definite sense of confidence and stamina thanks to the projected economic growth of 5% for 2013. This is a definite value-for-money destination.

Puerto Iguazu

It seems only fitting to end the list with a complete unknown entry, but not unknown for long because its Iguazu waterfall gained a prestigious award for being one of the new seven wonders of nature following a worldwide 2011 poll. The waterfall spread along the Argentine-Brazil border is definitely a sights to be seen, so don’t miss it.

Keep our worldwide car hire services in mind when traveling to any of these locations.
