A European skiing vacation – the best destinations

If you didn’t get to do anything exciting this winter, don’t worry: you can go for a European skiing vacation – the best destinations to explore are ready to accommodate you all winter long and half this coming spring. The snow is slow to melt on the highest peaks of the European mountains.

Val Thorens is a beautiful ski resort in the French Alps, nested in the Tarentaise Valley. At 2.3 kilometers altitude, this is the highest skiing resort on the Old Continent. The snow is always there, soft and pefect, the slopes in excellent condition, plus the atmosphere is urban, sophisticated, yet friendly and exciting.

There are clubs and bars and shops and after-ski activities. Can you join in even if you can’t ski? Of course you can! The area is amazingly picturesque and there is an endless choice of things to do, places to eat, shop and have fun. How to get there? Take a Paris airport transfer and get there “sans souci”, as the French would say.

If you are a winter sports fan, you probably already know Switzerland is another excellent options. At the Interlaken, you can use the amazing top slopes available not only to ski, but also to snowboard, sledge or to take a toboggan ride. The view over the high, rough rocks of the mountains is dramatic. In summer, you can also visit this amazing resort, as well as Neiderhorn in the vicinity, where you can buy a famous Swiss watch of your own from one of the open boutiques.

Last but not least, Austria is both popular and convenient if you are looking for a skiing vacation in Europe. The St. Anton resort is lovely, located in a countryside mountainous and natural environment. You can ski, take walks or just breathe in the amazing fresh air, no matter the choice, it would be a good one.

How to get around these lovely places? You can always look up rent a car international.
