Where to travel in the Year of the Wooden Sheep – Part 2
Having entered the Year of the Wooden Sheep, new trips around the world are in store for the more adventurous among you. Where to travel in the Year of the Wooden Sheep is the question you must be asking yourselves.
If you remember from our last talk, we agreed on Asia as a destination of choice. The Indian monument of Taj Mahal, which was built between 1631 and 1648 by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved lost wife, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World. It is a gem of Indian Muslim architecture, featuring a marble structure and beautiful gardens surrounding the mausoleum.
The white marble shines silver in the gentle light of the moon, casts pink reflections at sunrise and glows with the shades of the fading sun at dusk.
Another destination you should not avoid is Ko Phi Phi in Thailand. This is a small, but permanently inhabited archipelago in the southern province of Krabi. Only recently granted the position of first-class tourist destination, having gained popularity after the 2000 film “The Beach” was shot here, Ko Phi Phi benefits for the most part from the status of protected destination. The sky-blue waters and the fine sand will definitely warm your heart to this beautiful place under the sky.
The last stop we suggest for today are the offshore islands of Taiwan. The Penghu archipelago stretches for more than 320 km of exotic land divided between 90 small islands. If you dive here, you will discover the beautiful coral reefs, along with the rocks and beaches with lovely warm sand.
And if you want to taste the life of an old, traditional fishermen’s village, a visit to Lanyu, the Orchid Island, is in store.
When you travel, don’t forget that you can book an international car rental online in just a few minutes.
