Some places not to miss in Mallorca

When you say the word “Mediterranean”, your mind immediately gets filled with images of blue skies and even bluer seas, the smell of salt and the taste of relaxation. It is autumn, granted, but this doesn’t mean the days of sun and lying in the sand are forever gone. So in memory of the blazing days of summer, here are some places not to miss in Mallorca:

1. Palma de Mallorca (as a whole) is the core of the island of Mallorca. It is an amazing place, with a very cosmopolitan and Western European vibe. It is so much more than a seaside destination and it somehow lacks the simple familiarity of a mere sunny resort. It is home to around 50% of the population of the island and to a huge variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and shops. The nightlife is amazing, but during the day, the city is particularly sophisticated and posh.

There is a network of winding streets and museums lining the city center. Of course, the marina is an amazing attraction and there are also beautiful beaches along the seafront to explore, places where you can go to dip your feet in the cool water and feel the silky sand under your feet.

2. Alcudia is one of the most picturesque towns on Mallorca Island. With its Renaissance Bastion de San Ferran, the Baroque chapel of Sant Crist and the medieval streets, it houses one of the most beautiful old towns.

3. Valldemossa is another beautiful and spectacular site, with its Carthusian monastery dating back to the 14th century and the wonderful hills and valleys alternating. It welcomed famous people as well, among whom the celebrated Frederic Chopin.

If you want to visit too, be sure to book your Mallorca airport transfers as well before your trip!
