Top space-saving travel tech (part 2)

It’s time to look at some more space-saving travel tech that you can consider taking with you on your next trip.

Smartphone camera

It’s a well known fact by now that we like to take picture when we’re dealing with all manner of special occasions, and especially when in comes to traveling to new places. We’ve been taking photos for decades and in the last decade this has become incredibly easy to do so thanks to digital cameras. Both taking and storing photos is incredibly easy now, so grabbing a compact camera with you might just to the trick.

On the other hand most modern smartphones now include pretty solid cameras, capable of taking high-quality photos. This means that you can leave your camera at home – regardless of its size – and just use your phone since you’ll be taking that with you everywhere anyway. Unless you’re an amateur photographer and are going there to take photos with a DSLR, you can make do with your smartphone’s camera.

International plug adapter

Unfortunately there is no global international standard to power sockets, especially when you’re visiting different regions of the planet, but it can vary from country to country in the same region as well. That’s why you need an international power adapter so that you can plug in your gear pretty much wherever you might be. Most of these will work in over a hundred countries and some of them can charge your devices via USB cable.

USB chargers

And since we mentioned charging via USB cable earlier, you can save a lot of space by using one USB charger capable of doing the work of several regular ones. All you need to do is to make sure that the SUB wall charger you’re taking with you is compatible with the power sockets of your destination.

In case you need to use rechargeable AA batteries – some cameras still use these – a USB-powered battery charger will also help save space.

Regardless where you’re traveling to, keep some worlwide car rental services in mind when planning a trip.
