Halloween trip ideas in the US

Halloween is steadily approaching so we’re sure lots of people are either looking to organize a party or go to one, and some might actually be considering a Halloween trip to a different city in order to spend All Hallow’s Eve there. Today we’ll be looking at a few US cities that have something special in store for those interested in spooky celebrations, but the rest of the world will receive some attention in the near future as well.

Las Vegas

Halloween in Sin City is something of a weird and baffling experience because hotel nightclubs will host very over-the-top costume blowouts during which it can become problematic to tell the scantily clad tourist and paid escorts apart.

The biggest bash in town is the annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball, where the only prohibited costume is your birthday suit, but if that isn’t exactly up your alley, you can join the Haunted Vegas Tours on a ghost-hunt for Liberace’s, Bugsy Siegel’s and Elvis’ ghosts. On the other hand, if you’re planning to dance the night away then the Vegoose music and arts festival is for you with its top eclectic lineups loaded with hip-hop, indie rock and jam bands.

Savannah

Legend has it that many areas of historic downtown Savannah are actually built on top of cemeteries so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that every day feels like Halloween in Georgia’s capital of supernatural.

The Halloween spirit is alive and well here all the time, such as in The Olde Pink House restaurant which is said to be frequented by the specter of James Habersham, builder of the 1771 mansion. The town organizes ghost tours which take in the Mercer Williams House – the site of the murder in the true crime novel, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil.

Visiting either of these destinations will be enhanced by using our worldwide car rental services.
