Marseille, the center of entertainment this spring!

France is not just the cold and rainy, melancholy and a bit aloof realm we sometimes paint it to be. If Paris and its surroundings may fall into this paradigm, the southern region couldn’t be more different. So today we stop in Marseille, the center of entertainment this spring!

Let’s see some of the best events to attend this March 2017 in Marseilles and its surroundings.

Patricia Kaas will give an unforgettable and heartfelt concert in Marseilles on March 11th at Le Dome. Tickets are still on sale and you are welcome to make your girlfriend a belated Valentine’s Day gift.

And also, another musical treat is the Festival avec le temps, a French song event whose first edition, tribute to Leo Ferre, happened in 1997.

The International Exhibition of Contemporary Art in Marseilles is also due to take place this March at Parc Chanot between 10th and 13th March 2017. Innovation, imagination and contemporary art are all at home at SIAC, this event that has been going on for over ten years. You should attend if you want to give postmodern art and contemporary artists a shot at expressing themselves and convincing you.

The Pavilion of the Vieux-Port will open on April 1st. Built in stainless stain and inaugurated in 2013, this artwork has been in waiting for almost a year to provide shelter and cool to ferries and passers-by and to serve as a perfect vantage point for photos.

And on May 29th, you can gather at the History Museum for the Memory of the Sea event, one meant to pay tribute to underwater archeology. You can learn more about it during your next trip.

As for transport in southern France, you can either rent a car in Marseille or book a Marseille airport transfer online. The city is a lovely place to visit this spring!
